As an Into The Gloss reader, I’ve been wanting to get my hands on Glossier’s Perfecting Skin Tint for a while now. When it first hit the shelves (or uh- internet), I wasn’t sure I had the right skin for something so light. While I do have freckles that I love and want to showcase to the world, I’ve also been cursed with an acne-prone chin that I normally prefer to keep hidden under a thick, concealing foundation.
Glossier encourages ladies to do away with heavy foundations that hide beauty marks and clog pores. As an alternative, this thin, breathable tint provides an effortlessly toned, dewy look. After wrestling with the idea on and off for weeks, I finally ordered it in the lightest shade along with Boy Brow in black to get the free shipping on orders over $30.
Glossier’s Perfecting Skin Tint ($26) comes in a cute 1 fl oz container. Based on my usage so far, I doubt it’ll last me longer than a month. The formula is watery, so it takes a few squeezes of the bottle to cover my whole face in a light coat, but the application itself is like a dream. My advice is to not use a brush or a sponge to apply it. It’s the perfect consistency to rub right onto your skin with just your fingertips; using tools will only waste your product.
As promised, this toned-down, thin tint is easy to apply and delivers on their claims with even, smooth results. It does exactly what it promises- I can still see my freckles through the dewy glow, and my complexion looks soft and even, redness gone.
Boy Brow was where Glossier really stood out. At only $16, I wasn’t expecting the same quality as the pricier brow gels on the market, but I’m pleased to tell you I was mistaken!
I have thick eyebrows. When I was in middle school, they were the bane of my existence. I’ve since learned to embrace them with a little maintenance and absolutely no waxing. A few short strokes of Boy Brow whipped them right into shape, filling in any thin spots and keeping them firmly in place throughout the long day.
Here I am with Boy Brow, Perfecting Skin Tint and second day hair.
All in all, I’m very pleased with my purchase. I suggest using a little concealer under the tint if you really want to hide your imperfections, but other than that I only have praise. All you low maintenance ladies out there, these two products may have been plucked directly out of your dreams- hurry up and try them out yourself!
