On Being Grateful Today and Every Day

Yesterday was Thanksgiving here in the U.S., one of my favorite days of the year. What’s there to dislike (excluding, of course, the age-old story about “the Pilgrims and the Indians”)?

When you get down to it (and categorize Black Friday as its own separate thing), Thanksgiving is one of the most loving, non-commercialized holidays we have. It’s a simple and beautiful tradition. You gather with your loved ones, eat a lot of delicious food and take a moment to consider all the things you’re grateful for.
